Water Project Completed!

Dearest friends,

I have great news to share with you: Our financial goal for the Water Project has been achieved!

And the main water pipe will be extended with 330 metres, which is more than initially planned!

Isn't that amazing? Thank you ever so much for your generous contributions!

More good news is that we have a surplus of money!

After further discussions with the Local Council and negotiating with the Water Company in Tarlungeni, we were granted a discount of 10.000 Lei on the overall project. This means that for the whole project we would now need a total of only 39.500 Lei (meaning £8400 or Euro9400 or USD13600).

Up to date we have received 46.500 Lei (£10,000 or Euro 11,000 or $16,000), so we have a surplus of 7000 Lei, which we can use to help families connect their individual homes to the main water supply. The above figures include both the money we have already received, as well as the donations which were firmly promised and the money will arrive before the end of the year! 

All I can say, on behalf of our whole team as well as the people in the village, is a very big thank you for your amazing support and I hope that the success of the Water Project will bring you the same joy and satisfaction as it brought to us! The work in the village has been done in proportion of 75% and we expect it to be totally finished by the end of next week.
